Keeping your pool clean and well maintained

Most of the people think that cleaning the pool could be a very exhausting task to do. But those tiresome cleaning can be prevented by regular cleaning. Regular cleaning and maintenance one a week is enough to keep your pool clean and make sure it’s ready to swim in. We will show you the way how to keep the pool clean in this article. So, keeping your pool to look good is not a difficult thing to do.

Scoop the fallen leaves

Fallen leaves from the three near the pool are the most common thing when you have a pool in your backyard. If you don’t scoop it immediately, the fallen leaves will rest in the bottom of the pool and start decomposing. Once it decomposed, the water will be contaminated by the stain from the leaves. To avoid that thing, simply scoop the leaves out of the pool whenever they are floating on the surface. This scooping process also can make the vacuuming much easier.

Brush the Tile

The next step after scooping the leaves is brushing the pool. Brush the pool floor and side area of your pool. If you can do it regularly, the algae appearance will be prevented. It also removes the dirt on the pool floor and makes it smooth to avoid any slippery accident. Remember to turn on the pump when brushing your pool so the debris and dirt will be sucked into the filter.

Vacuuming process

After scooping and brushing process, there will be any debris and dirt left on your pool. Use the pool vacuum and start cleaning thoroughly for a better result. This step is quick and easy if you do the scooping and brushing steps well. Your pool will start to sparkle once you finished this step.

Check the Pool Water

It’s important to check the water chemicals levels once a week. This step is a necessity to keep your pool safe and healthy to swim in. There are many pool test kits in the market to reveal the pH and chlorine levels of the pool water. Just follow the instructions on the kits label and conduct the test. Then, add the required amount of acid or chlorine if the result is lacking.

Add chlorine

Sometimes you need to add the chlorine into the pool water. There are several ways to do that including liquid chlorines, powdered chlorines, and chlorines tablets. Each of them has it own advantages. But personally, I prefer the tablets because it easier for me. You just need to drop the chlorines tablet into the dispenser, then put the lid on and leave it to float in the pool for a while.

Salt water pool

If you have salt water pool and it has been raining recently, it’s best to turn off your filter. The rain is lighter than the salt water pool so it will be on the surface. This mean the rain water will suck into the filter and break the chemical levels in your salt water and you need to put more and more chemicals to it.
